Guillot, whose last address was 516 Marigny St., in the Faubourg Marigny, is accused of assaulting the woman on Nov. 12. She just had her hair cut at a business in the 200 block of Veterans Memorial Boulevard, near the 17th Street Canal, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office incident report.

Although the woman required stitches, she declined to be taken to a hospital and told deputies she would seek medical care in Chalmette, according to the report.

Guillot already is serving a 10-year prison sentence at Avoylelles Correctional Center in Cottonport. In March, he pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery and felon in possession of a firearm before New Orleans Criminal District Court Judge Franz Zibilich.

Guillot has no felony convictions in Jefferson Parish. But in New Orleans, he has convictions of carjacking, simple battery and theft from 1996, and other property crimes. New Orleans prosecutors also charged him in March with possession of burglary tools, but later dismissed the case.
