Crabbing from a private beach in Topsail Island, NC

Will be there in late July next year, learn me.

I did some research and I can use a collapsible trap from what I read, are they even in season then? Will this be a futile experiment or can I actually maybe catch some crabs?

The best place to ask is on nc board on bluecrab.info

Be sure to remind them that Louisiana has the biggest blue crabs in the world

And supply the crab Mecca of Maryland with more than 60% of their crabs.

That actually will get you banned there

Those east coast boys are very sensitive about louisiana crabs

You d do better coming to Louisiana

You can't fish with a trout line in NC without a $250 licence.

I think it can be a max of 100 feet.

People were talking about chicken necks on a string, not sure what that is?
