LSU goes 8-4 with a bowl win, would you take that right now?

looking at the schedule i would. besides tennessee we are the youngest team in the sec. you can't lose that many guys to the draft and expect a 10 plus win season. in my line of work its important to keep your client's expectations realistic so naturally its turned me into a realist. that being said realistically speaking we are probably a 8-4, maybe a 9-3 team depending on how much our youngsters improve throughout the season and taking advantage of home games.

At this point- I'd be ecstatic with 8 wins. I'm thinking 7 will be more like it- hope I'm wrong.

This is the way of the acolytes of mediocrity. They cheer for Les Miles above LSU, therefore whatever shite sandwich is served to them...is by definition, acceptable.
Champions want more. Champions put up the same yardage as a starter in 4 minutes versus 56. The priest of mediocrity then benches the champion.

the sec west is the toughest division in the country. if you take a step back and look at our team and what we lost without purple and gold glasses, an 8-4 record could easily happen
i get what you're saying with the "take" part but frick i wish i was a billionaire tomorrow..its not gunna happen... I'm talking about this year only, knowing what we know about our team, our schedule and our schemes, would you take 8 and 4?

I would take that if the team showed some improvement near the end of the year. Just chalk this up as a fluke year with a young team and move on.
I'm def. not going to go fcking nuts and be a sorry sad sack of shite because LSU is not awesome every year.
