Anyone played either of these 2 lately? Report on condition of greens and course would be appreciated. Thanks

Played The Bluffs monday. They are struggling with their greens. I'd say half of them have huge dead spots and they were kinda slow. But rolled decent. The fairways are nice and the layout if fun. Never played the farm

Aiiight, thanks for the scoop. Love the Bluffs, but looks like it's gonna be the Farm.

I played the farm last month when it first reopened after the renovation and it was outstanding. The greens are perfect except for one on the back 9 where that they had problems with the soil. I love the back nine layout.

are you talking about The Farm in Carencro, or is there a course in BR with the same name?

Go to farm, bluffs just punched everything a couple weeks ago. No Idea what the hell is going on with a Couple of those greens.

The Farm is in great shape. Played there last week. The greens rolled true and somewhat fast. The green on #15 is stll jacked up, but I'm not sure it will ever be right.

Thought you meant either the Bluffs or the Prison View course at LSP@Angola. Play the Bluffs in the AM, have lunch then play Angola. The $10 you pay just to say that you have played it is well worth it.

Make sure you read the rules of what you must do to play and not bring on the prison grounds.

Prison View

Didn't know Angola golf existed.

It looks like you need a compass to find the right teebox. Bring back by own boy scout skills.

It's very cool. Haven't played it in 5 years, but several times before then. Warden Cain set it up to keep his guards on the site and not leaving to play golf. Also allows inmate trustees to learn grounds management.

The course designer was a prison doctor who was approached by the Warden to layout the course. The doctors previous course design experience was that he enjoyed golf and bought and read a book on course design.

First teebox was awesome. Elevated box on Rattlesnake Hill and hitting over a road and power lines.

I highly recommend playing. Never felt threatened and even had my daughter with me for a round.

Just don't forget to remove any carry/vehicle weapons and no contraband.
