I see it closes at 7 but they serve dinner? Confusing

Also if not, I need suggestions in the DS/Walker area. Thanks folks, you never let me down!!

A little info, the reason I'm looking for something in that area is it is closer, and I HATE BR/the city, and I really like things off the beaten path.

I grew up in Denham, and I can honestly say I have never known a go-to restaurant to send people to. There are only like 3 non-chains in the whole city (excluding Chinese and Mexican pop ups).

Taste of Louisiana is okay. Big Mikes had decent food if it's still around. Randazzo's is new to me, so I can't speak to that.

Disclaimer, I havent lived there in 10 years, but I visit my parents at least once a month.

ETA: what's the seafood place that replaced Crawfords? It's decent.

I think they stay open until 8:00. If the night time stays nice like tonight, you can eat outside in the back. I like the place.

We go to Randazzo's every now and then for lunch on Saturdays. Food is very good. Dunno about dinner, but I think it would be fine for a casual date

It's good. If the girl is from LP, it's nice enough I guess. I see it as more of a lunch spot than supper, just the atmosphere and layout and menu.

I think they make all their own noodles which is cool, but none of the dishes are exceptional. It's cheap, that's good I guess.

You'd probably be better served going to BR.

This. There are several in Hammond that are better than any Denham/Walker place.
Go have a beer or wine before dinner at Red, White, and Brew.

And if you want to put your big boy pants on and go to a very nice place, Jacmel Inn is a great place in Hammond.
