During Prescotts recruiting process do any of y'all remember whether or not he was a lock to play QB here? or was he looked at as more of a Russell Shepard type of player?

When we started to recruit him, it was as a QB.

The guys calling the game said Les was looking at him for Fullback.

During his junior year. Then he dropped some weight, improved his throwing motion, and became more accurate. Then we offered him as a QB. I remember people freaking out becaus they thought it meant Mett was going elsewhere. But by the time we offered him he'd already been committed to MSU for months and stuck to his pledge. Was sold by Mullen on being the next Tebow.

I saw him go 60 yds up the middle and not get touched by any of our speed on defense.

He's a great athlete and could have played a few positions for us the other night, qb included!

Miles said he looked more like a DE or TE when he was a junior in HS and MSU was recruiting him as a QB.

Then his senior year came around and he lost some wait and LSU was late to the party.

Heard tht during one of his conferences I'm pretty sure

He also laughed on SVP/Rusillo when asked about Dillon Day's actions.
Eff him.

Did you actually expect him to throw one of his own under the bus?

Does it really matter? I would have much rathered have Mett in 2012 and 2013. Hprobably be underdeveloped as a QB if he came here. It's really a pointless conversation.

No, I expect him to attempt to jump over him but miss and have both feet land on his midsection. But not laugh.

It's not a pointless conversation. But then again, some of you act like Mett was the best QB to ever set foot on this campus. Nevertheless, it was question.

Mett had a great season because Cameron had him prepared passing wise. You saw a lot of quick slant and crossing patterns. Now that is all gone and it's back to a vanilla offense. Gee, I wonder why??

I'm sure you're trying to insinuate that it is because Miles is "calling the plays", but it is much more plausible that our QBs do not have the skill set of Mett, therefore we run a different offense.

Some people just want to believe everything negative that somebody floats out there, so badly...

I promise in the next week somebody will say to me "Ya heard we offered that hotshot Dex that ran for 300 yard for Mississippi a scholarship for Defensive tackle. That shite doesn't happen at Bama, I'm telling ya. Freaking Bumbling Les".

Truth is, we were late to the party, but we recruited him hard eventually. This board generally liked him but he was never viewed as a "can't miss". When he signed with MSU it was expected and nobody here bore a grudge against the kid. And at this very moment all of are speculating similarly on current prospects, completely oblivious to how each may help/hurt LSU in the future.
