I have a lot of confidence in this young team. Now that this team has nothing else to lose i wouldn't be surprised to see a change in Scheme Personell and Mentality. Opening up the SEC with 1 loss could be a blessing in disguise figuring we now have to play every game to win instead if not to lose. The Margin of Error for the season is drastically small. Just remember after we got dominated at Florida in 2012. The rest of that season was as fun as can be disputed our inept offense, and I think this one is much much much better than 2012 offense. The pieces we have on D are there ITLL just take time. Optimism and High Morale will go a long way with this young team.

P.s. Travin Lamar and Quentin will all be very vocal these next couple weeks. ALL are natural leaders.

Les Miles is still the head coach so no. No big changes to change for the better.

you just can't compare this season to 2012. 2012 actually had a great defense for the most part.

2014 defense just gave up the MOST yards EVER for an LSU defense: 570

The Auburn game will show how the rest of the season will go. It's more winnable than people think, but only if we improve and play well. I won't judge the season by the MSU game, but by our response to it.

To me that Auburn game feels like the 2008 Florida game. I am not looking forward to it.

Auburn could easily have lost if K-State actually had a decent kicker. Of course our performance against MSU won't be good enough to beat Auburn, but even on the road, we have a shot if we make the right adjustments.

Auburn is going to destroy us. They will put up 40+ points and 600+ yards.

I guess you would have called him a complete whackjob if he'd told you that State would be putting up 570 a few days ago.

But the point is why does it take an awful offensive performance ala FL in 2012 and last Saturdays night game bf we utilize our offense to its potential?

Agree.

And if there are offensive changes, I think it will be so foreign to the LSU Offensive coaching staff, as if one is transported from 1970 college football to 2014 college football, and has one week to prepare.

It's the mentality, the offensive model.

I hear every year, "well, it's vanilla now but when SEC play starts...". "Well, surely things will change now".

No, they won't. It's been this way for 10 years. And if there are radical changes, I don't think it's going to look smooth.

It shouldn't, and God knows we'll need offense like never before if the defense is nearly as bad as what was put on display on Saturday.

This and people don't realize that State is good. Are they 570 yards 34-10 before we woke up good prolly not but not like we lost to Kentucky or Vandy. State will be in the hunt at the end of the year book it.
