There is no ripping... Southpark is hitting both sides of the issue as usual, but I guess people are too stupid to see that.

Thats what is great about Matt and Trey, they will tear up both sides equally. They leave their political leanings out of their artwork. Kudos to them

That is really funny, but you would think the South Park guys would fall on the side of the Redskins and AGAINST political correctness. Seems kind of hypocritical to me.

What they do with their art is their business but this idea that artists "should leave their politics out of it" is absurd.

"We hate Republicans."

"But we really fricking hate Democrats."

I think it was Matt Stone who said, "I hate conservatives, but I really fricking hate liberals."

They don't necessarily think like that. While they hate political correctness, SOMETIMES, Political correctness can be...correct. I don't agree in this situation but maybe they do.

And having Cartman saying he respects the name tells you what they think.

In between shows about christmas poo, they do great social commentary.

But they are libertarians, and it very much shows in their work.

It's an nonsensical and unreasonable expectation. Art is often a reflection of the world and social/political commentary is a part of that. If you don't like the comment then don't watch the show/read the book/buy the painting/ect.
