Why didn't you force me to watch this show?

I like Spader and the Spader thread a few days ago made me finally start watching.

Is this the most violent Big Network show ever?

In the last episode when the Dad and his son got killed by the plane, I realized this show was for real, but damn, Anslo Garrick was about as brutal as anyone I have ever seen on Tv. shite got real.

I hope his death is slow and drawn out.

I may take another look at this show. I have a built in major network prejudice. I just assume a show like this is going to be ungood if it is on the big three.

This is probably my first Big Network pickup in a long time.

I thought the same thing but was bored and saw they added it to Netflix.

Some of the villains are almost James Bondian in the evilness but so far I am enjoying the show.

If you like Spader, I think you will like the show. If you hate Spader you won't like the show.

I thought about starting a thread the other day, but thought since no one has already done it, that no one else liked the show

It is addicting. Unfortunately I found it only one season in, which means once I finish season 1, I'm screwed into weekly waiting periods.

I watched the first 10 or so episodes and thought it was OK. It just had the network show feel and I just didn't find myself wanting to watch it. Not that I thought it was bad.

Should I continue, does it get better? Am I the only one that wasn't that impressed at first?

Not all are great but dang, the Garrick episode was top notch although the Blacklist site seemed to be run by monkeys.

James Spader is the only reason this show is worth watching. He is amazing in it, but if you take him out, the show is just another network procedural. It has the same contrived storyline in almost every episode, and the characters are carbon copies of characters that we see on every other network tv show.

Spader is fricking amazing in it.

I thought the story line was great in Season 1 between Tom and Elizabeth and where they went with it.

I just discovered it a few days ago and have already binge watched all of season 1. It's phenomenal.

I love the blacklist. Spader is amazing and the Tom character really had me guessing if he was bad or not.

Spacer plays his character a bit too over the top but I enjoy the show.

I like Spader a lot but his head tilting is starting to annoy me.

There were a couple of clunkers towards the end of the season. The Tom plot was interesting but the bad guy of the week was weak.

I don't mind some slightly elevated technology but the skeleton key was just ridiculous. If the government had anything remotely that powerful it would be locked in a bunker.

Not an EMPTY computer lab. By the way, it was daylight. Where was ANYONE else when the lab was hacked?

NO SECURITY for a device that can hack any and all networks? Weak.

I'm also getting tired of the bad guy always escaping in situations where the building should be secured BEFORE running in. Also love how they always warn the bad guys with sirens or screeching tires.

I enjoy it. That being said, holy shite the FBI is insanely incompetent in that show.

If James Spader isn't in it, it fails brutally.

Poor Lizzy seems to get the crap kicked out of her almost every episode.

She needs to learn to fight better. How many times has she almost been strangled?
