Anyone built one of those creepers for a truck?

I don't ever work on cars, and it is a PITA getting in the right position when working on the top of a truck engine. Was thinking about getting one, but they are all $150+. After looking at them, it seems like I could build the same thing for $50 in materials.

Have yall ever built/used them, and do they help a lot?

I pay for work to be done too.


And to be honest I suppose waist girth could be an issue for some too, but that is not a problem for me.

Your gorilla arms still wouldn't be able to reach most things in most trucks

If your truck wasn't leveled you wouldn't need this.

They do look nifty though. I usually ended up standing on buckets or something else super sketchy.

Unfortunately, you have to be UNDER the truck if it's a GM

Mostly true, but try reaching an oil sending unit on a 5.3 from under the truck. that part is notorious for failing
