Everybody is on the "No I-Formation" bandwagon. I've never seen anything like it

Hanagriff and Risher immediately in the post game. Now Gordy and Hawthorne are talking about how it limits your offense and we don't have Qbs that are used to that system. Surely there has to be some change right?

After 4 or 5 Offensive Coordinators in 10 years, we're running the same exact plays. It will not change.

Jennings was in the pistol in high school but for some reason this coaching staff put him under center

The only thing Les changes is his underwear.

Les always does what's best for the team. If the I formation isn't working he will change it

Recruited Lee & Mett, had them run the option.

Recruits Harris and Jennings, puts them under center.

ZOMG AMAZING OFFENSIVE MIND!

If there is a wholesale change in philosophy it won't be implemented until 2015 at the earliest. Miles is very stubborn and LSU would need an off season to install an actual spread offense.

I don't think they need to go full out with a new system but just run more out of shotgun and actually use the defensive formation to take advantage of single linebacker sets and run it down teams throats.

The stacked box has continued to to be and will always be a problem of LSUs offense. It can be and has been successful somehow over Miles tenure here. In reality it puts 5 offensive lineman and a couple of tight ends blocking an entire defense for run plays that are so easy to recognize by now that teams are anticipating the snap better than LSUs own players.

When they do pass it's usually 1 or 2 receiver routes or they go 5 wide without the qb having any rhythm or flow of the game.

You have to put these elite athletes in a position to succeed. Creativity, misdirection and precision have been lacking from the offense for quite some time.

Fwiw, the reporters are drilling Miles with I-formation questions.

I agree, but I'd like to see it happen before 2017. Miles is on the. Bob Stoops don't change til' the hot seat mentality

LSU recruiting logic. Recruit dual threat qbs.. Stick them under center in a power offense.

With this offense LSU would have won 10 straight national championships in the 50-60s

Well, it did work in 1974, so I don't think LSU should abandon it just yet.
