Rory was badly injured. No one in their right mind could think Lawler would ever be competitive vs Rory if he was at full strength.
Talent wise Rory is several levels above Lawler(and everybody else at WW)

Ben Askren would give Rory all kinds of trouble and I'm not even that high on Askren. I'd give the edge to Lombard and Hendricks over Rory as well.

Rory on the juice > Askren > Rory off the juice

Here's a new one atleast for UFC, Korean Zombie, who hasn't fought in a year, is out for an additional 2 years for mandatory military service.
edit: There may have been another fighter that had to take a sabbatical due to military service in their country, but def. not as big of a name.

Hendricks is too slow. Lombard has no stamina and both guys are just too small(length and height wise) and will never get inside Rory's jab and will struggle to win a round.
Askren is underrated I actually give him the best chance because he's a much smarter fighter than Lombard/Hendricks/Lawler and might be able to Jon Fitch him 2/3 rounds.

That's crazy about the Korean Zombie....I bet Dana is a little pissed. Do celebrities & athletes ever get exemptions over there?
Looks like Cowboy vs. Myles Jury is gonna happen

Nope.. apparently Dong Hyun Kim did his 2 years prior to signing with UFC.

Yes, e.g., the WC team in 2002. It's very uncommon, though.

Yeah, just read an article about various athletes/celebrities who have attempted to avoid their military duty (taking medication, pulling out their teeth, faking injuries, etc). The dude who did Gangham Style got in trouble for doing concerts during his 2 year duty, so they made him do another 2 years (and maybe even more, I'm not sure).

Honestly looking forward to the Bobby Lashley fight on Bellator more than anything on UFC, plus I'll be watching the LSU game Saturday.

Lashley still fights?

Fighting an English dude with 9 wins, all in the first round.. this UFC card just does zero for me
and even though it'd be awesome for Americans to hold all the UFC belts, I'm pulling for Aldo to win so McGregor can whoop that arse
