I saw it on Friday. It was alright. Pretty much a straight forward detective story. It is set in the 90's, so kind of a period piece. I can't really recommend it for a theater movie, but I enjoyed it. There just wasn't anything else really out right now.
Kind of hard to compare the two. Taken was a more original story line and has a ton more action. A walk is more emotional and suspenseful. Other than the same leading actor, they really aren't similar. I'd say Taken is a better movie though..

I might go check it out, I heard it was dark too?

I saw it Saturday night after the game. With all the frustration drinking during the game I thought it best to give myself a couple hours to sober up before driving home. It was entertaining enough, not as good as Taken but 2nd sequels rarely are.

Not a ringing endorsement since there wasn't much creativity in Taken. Just a straightforward rescue movie.

I just saw this and I thought it was good. It had some dialogue problems, but good story. It kind of had a Prisoners tone. A good watch, IMO.

I liked it much better than Taken. I'm the only person I know who hated Taken fwiw.

I loved it. Been reading Lawrence Block's Matt Scudder books for years. I thought it was superb.
