Harris was not given a fair chance in the Wisconsin game

Harris and Jennings were supposedly neck and neck in the spring. Harris was suppose to play vs Wisconsin and he really did not play. He came in for one series and two of the play calls were handoffs. Might as well kept him on the bench the entire game b/c he was not given a fair chance to display his skills. LSU's offense has looked disappointing against every team this year with a pulse. Splitting equal time the last three games would have been the wise thing to do to determine which qb the team rallies behind better. Maybe Jennings would have been pulled sooner vs MSU and the game could have turned out differently.

I do not understand Miles thinking with Harris.

It's obvious by now that y'all do not have anyone on campus that can evaluate QB talent.

Well you put him in to run the offense and that's part of the offense. You're not gonna put him in to just throw.

Its Obvious if we put Harris in the shotgun with 3 or 4 wide out set than it works... For the life of me I cannot understand how this is not apparent to the coaching staff.

In that case DJ Welter can run LSU's offense. Hand off the ball for three runs and let's punt.

LSU has talent on offense and Les Miles is to scared to use it. We have some of the best wide receivers in the country. What is Miles afraid of?

Was due to Harris's inexperience of signals.

That was clearly shown in one pass play for an entire game. Right.

Other teams play freshman qb's and they win the Heisman trophy and national championships.

Les Miles allows his talent to sit on the bench while the offense struggles.

No, you don't follow. Something happened the week of the Wisky game and signals were changed.

Both qbs you're alluding to were redshirt freshmen. I want to see Harris starting as much as anyone, but that undoubtly will come with some more hand-offs to the wrong side and other busted plays. He's the more talented of the two, but he may not be mentally ready. We've only really seen him play backyard football in his time so far.

It was believed UW coaches stole our signals, so the staff implemented last year's signals.

I agree, and I think it's time to let him take the reigns for better or worse, but just as he hasn't been given much of an opportunity to suceed, he hasn't had much of a chance to fail. Running an offense for four quarters is substantially different than hucking it downfield with nothing to lose.

To be fair, only the final Hail Mary play was 'hucking it downfield'. Just because he had to throw downfield doesn't mean he wasn't making good reads and accurate throws. I was actually elated when he had to check down to DW because it meant he wasn't going to try and force a 40 yard miracle like AJ does.
