I'm trying out a new launcher. It's called aviate and it's by yahoo. It learns where you are and picks apps you may want to see. It's real smooth and easy to use. I am really liking it.

Note: I did notice that it is slow on transparent. Use light or dark.

It's very refined and smooth.

That Google now launcher wasn't very special to me. I have htc and sense was very close.

I'm using cover right now. It's pretty smooth and learns where you are and adds the most used apps and places them on the lock screen.

I tried cover. I can't remember why I deleted it.

I tried Nova launcher over touch wiz and it's much better. My question is why use a launcher when you can have a ROM actually dedicated to what you want?

I used it then used themer for a while until it kept crashing and doing little things to piss me off.
Went back to Aviate after the beta and love it.

Are you having lag issues with transparent mode?

Cover is awesome. Google play edition ROM with cover is the best setup I have ever had on a phone.

People use different launchers because it's easy to try others. They are just apps like any other.

I'm not sure what you mean by a ROM dedicated to what you want. You can run any launcher on any ROM. Different ROMs might have different default launchers, but you can swap them out just as easily as you can on the stock ROM.

Never used it. Only use dark to save battery

I don't really like Cover or Aviate. I know people like them, and they do work well, but the concept just doesn't really help me (learning what you use and when). Maybe I don't have a solid enough routine.

I like cover because you can also tell it which apps to put on the different lockscreens, however I can't stand when they change the order of the apps in the main app drawer. I can easily get to them if I know which page they are on, but when they move around it takes me longer to find them haha

I haven't tried Cover, but I'm too much of a control freak with my phone to use Aviate.
