Last night while we. We're watching the game I had several friends bitch and moan about the "typical Les Miles offense" and how Les is calling the plays and that's why the offense sucks. I kept telling them that this is Cam's offense....he's working with what he's got. It's not easy to lose Mett, OBJ, Landry, and Hill in one year and come back from that.

So bottom line, please settle this for us....WHO CALLS THE PLAYS? LES or CAM?

Cam does but within the constraints of Les' wants

I don't think Cam is dumb enough to have spread/read option QB's line up in an I formation and try to be pocket passers. We saw that before Cam got here.

He has his hands in the gameplan and what type of play may get called in big situations(like running it 4 straight times from the 2), but he is definitely not calling the plays.

Like any offensive coordinator, Cam has a system and a playbook....however, Les has final say on how he wants the offense run. At the end of the day, it's Cam making the decisions based off of Miles' input.

If it's not Les then what are the odds that 3 different OCs run the exact same offense? He may call the plays but this is 100% Les's offense.

This. It is pretty simple, Les is not using Cams genius because he is a ground and pound guy.
We can do it to smaller teams but not through the SEC this year.

miles can hire chip kelly or jon gruden for OC. & we will still see this type of offense, boring, stale, & out of date

First we hated Jimbo. - Well he's won a natty now.

Then we hated Crowton

Then we hated Kragstud

Now we hate Cameron.

There's only one thing in common with all 4 of them and none of them have run the toss dive outside of being at LSU. YOu tell me.

This.

Different OCs, same offensive scheme.

Common factor? LM.

Yes, there are different players all around, and neither Jennings nor Harris are Mett; however, it is clear that what is on the field is what MILES has requested/directed.

It is just lack of imagination. First down on 2 yard and 4 runs right in the middle, at least run wide in a couple of them. Miles does exactly what opponents expect i.e 1/9/2012

You are exactly right it is Cam's offense and he calls the plays. The thing is, while it is Cam's offense, during game week Les "oks" a particular set of plays and portion of the offense. It's the same portion every week of every year no matter the coordinator.
