Ray Rice Appeal: "Tape was edited"

One of the chief arguments that Ray Rice will make in the appeal of his indefinite suspension is that the NFL extended his punishment on the basis of an edited videotape, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Legal sources told Schefter that the TMZ tape of Rice hitting his then-fiancee was a cleaned-up, whittled down and condensed version of the events that took place in the Atlantic City casino elevator.
WOW... So now we have a conspiracy against Rice. Unless I am completely wrong, the video is continuous from when she slaps at him while heading towards the elevator until he drags her out. Where the frick could it have been edited?
Unless they are claiming shite happened prior to entering the frame... And even then, it doesn't change the ultimate outcome.
Also, while I think the initial punishment should be greater than 2 games, I don't agree with the league changing it mid-way. I think that Goodell and the Ravens knew exactly what happened and chose not to dole out the proper punishment. I think he may win his appeal, but it won't be because of an "Edited Tape"

TMZ and Sportscenter said it was edited every time they aired it.

Hopefully he is reinstated. What he did was wrong but at the end of the day hitting a female is not that big of a deal

Won't say it's not a big deal but that is nothing the NFL should be involved in. If she press charges then she presses charges.

Sweet troll there bro. So cool.

I don't see that as being a very good defense. Personally, I'd focus on the fact that he was fully forthcoming with the details, and that he had already been suspended for the act. Plus the indefinite suspension and "show cause" penalty are in excess of the new league policy regarding domestic violence.

And posts like that is why you were being shite on as an awful poster on the food and drink board.

Do you think I care what people I do not know think about me?

It is a big deal, I do think he should be reinstated after 6 games though.

I interpret that as she was taking a few swings beforehand. Not excusing what he did.

The only way this matters is if the unedited tape shows her pulling a gun on him.
