We can't run the ball because the line is soft. We can't pass the ball because Jennings can't throw a receiver open and is too afraid to mess up. On top of that we have to run fewer receivers because again, our line is soft so we have to bring in extra blockers.

Still despite running 2 receiver sets, they get open or could get open if the QB would lead them. Multiple times dural had his guy beat and multiple times the pass was short. Multiple times Quinn was open in the middle.

Harris was going against a defense playing a prevent but his ball still looked better and it's clear him and dupre have some real magic together.

I say you give Harris a start agains NMSU, let him have the opportunity to take the job. With a better passer I see a greater ability to run the ball.

it's the execution and it's the scheme

spread players all over the field to run a wide open offense...

and yet miles wants them to bunch together to pound it
it's going to be a long season

They are just soft. On run plays they don't attack. They look like they are playing pass protection when running the ball.

When passing they don't look horrible but Jennings holds the ball too long or is two quick to leave the pocket. He doesnt process quick enough.

Also I think our run game would have been better if we utilized the dual HB sets more last night with Hilliard and fournette. Fournette is a huge decoy that draws the D in. We did it a few times last night on the goal line but not much more.

Both sides of the ball have been terrible. We might not even go to a bowl

I bet they wouldn't look soft running out of spread formations.

And I can't disagree more with the dual hb set since that is run out of the I
