9-20 for 126 and 1 INT
12 rushes for 103 1 TD
Nothing here gets me worried about this guy. Has he greatly improved since last year?
Someone convince me please.

That was one of his first (if not THE first) SEC game that he has ever played in. Yes, he has much improved over that time. I am not saying that LSU won't shut him down again, but to insinuate that he will repeat last year's underwhelming performance is always a recipe for failure. This is a new season, a more mature Dak Prescott with a whole season and some change under his belt...etc. I believe he is legit.
With that said, I still believe the Tigers hold MSU to a max of 17 offensive points.

He's pretty good, it looks like his passing has improved. And if you remember, he split time with another guy in our game last year. But I am not impressed with their defense. Inferior teams have moved the ball and scored on them this year. If we get decent offensive production, we should contain Prescott well enough to win.

Really overhyped. It's all for ratings though. Hell, a lot ofpeople have predicted an LSU loss because why not. He might bust off a big run or two but that's it.

He split time with Tyler Russell last season.
He's decent but he can't do it by himself. I'm not sure how much of a ground game they have, guess we'll see.
Moo State has a good DL but their secondary is terrible. UAB put up over 400 yards against them last week or the week before. For UAB to do that, that says something.
I still wouldn't take them lightly by any means.
LSU's SEC opener, in Tiger Stadium, with the new south end zone addition, it's going to be loud.

A quarterback running for 103 against us should worry you.

I think that was for the entire 2013 season, not in their game against us last season.
He didn't play that much.

He is better but our defense is also much, much better than last year.

Exactly.
It was for the 2013 season.
ETA: Passing stats. The rush stats are even lower.
Still, I wouldn't consider him a pushover.

What stats are you looking at?
He had 1940 yards passing and 829 yards rushing last year

Just looking at the link provided.
It reads what I posted, unless I read it wrong.
Didn't he split time with Tyler Russell?
Nevermind, I see it now. Ok. Whoops.

There have been many threads about the fact that Dak Prescott has been unremarkable against the good teams, and really good against that bad teams. While that is true, it is also true that we offered this kid a scholarship, he has prototypical qb size, great arm strength, and every other physical took to be a great qb. He's just not quite found the light switch yet. I hope he doesn't find that switch against us.
If you're looking for comfort, look at the LSU losses in the chief years. A common thread in those losses has been absolutely stellar qb play. Dak needs to find the light switch before becoming stellar.
Look, state is capable of winning this game. Should LSU turn the ball over, drop passes, commit drive extending defensive penalties, kick fgs because they can't score touchdowns on an admittedly strong front 7, AND Prescott has a break outf game, LSU could lose. Much bad to happen right for the Moo bars, and wrong for the tigers for us to lose.

If you actually watch the game from last season, he looked very good and made our defense look silly at times.

Thank goodness that they went away from the Jameon Lewis/Lamin Barrow matchup.

Dak has played in three games this year against weak opponents and barley threw for over 200 yards in two of those games - UAB 211 yds, South Alabama 201 yds. I don't get people saying Dak will beat LSU.

Glad he padded them because after tomorrow he will be missed! RIP Dak
