The nation's top prospect Josh Sweat was injured in tonight's victory over Chesapeake (VA) rival Western Branch. Sweat and a teammate collided and Sweat was carted off the field in an ambulance and transported to the local hospital.
We have received word from the hospital that Sweat did not suffer any broken bones in the collision but did have a dislocated knee cap that was put back in place at the hospital. He will undergo an MRI tonight to check the extent of the damage and look for any tendon and ligament damage.
Sweat was scheduled to take an official visit to Virginia Tech following his game for the weekend.
Sweat is the nation's top prospect.

damn, hate to hear that for him.

That's horrible. And I'm horrible for being slightly less sad when I saw that A&M wasn't in on him.

Hope he is OK, but what is up with these overhyped Virginia defensive linemen? They never amount to anything and I live here. High school football here is a joke, THOUGH there are a lot good players here...basically HALF what Louisiana produces with over twice the population.

I said it was a horrible thing to think.
I'm sure plenty of people hopped over to Rivals or 247 to see if their school was in the running for this kid. Get off your high horse.

yea, but it's one of those things you just keep to yourself.
admitting that you're a terrible person doesn't make you any less of a terrible person.

Way to be a fricking prick.
Kid is too good to be at A&M anyways.

Name the last lineman from the Commonwealth to do any good?
I dislike it here even worse because of my area.

Unfortunate. Hopefully he can bounce back like Godchaux did and make an impact next year as a freshman at Virginia Tech or wherever he ends up.

Doubt it.

Yeah, feeling sorry for a kid regardless of where he is going to play in college is a high horse.
Get the frick over yourself.

What is up with posters who can't understand the simple difference between a player being overhyped and a player getting injured?

There's always the all time NFL sack leader... he's not the last, but apparently the best ever at putting qbs on the turf.

So a dislocated knee means some sort of ligament damage, correct?
