Blocked punt was almost too easy for him.... almost got back there too quick and overran the punter

He can boot the crap out the ball too.

I think he gets an offer when its all said and done.

Destrehan finally punches it in right before halftime. Very good game so far.

Merritt being help in check so far, except for a long run called back for holding.

6-3 game.

Coney durr with a pick and some good coverage. Destrehan has some really good WR's.

Isnt Destrehan supposed to be loaded in the next few years? 2016 class maybe?

Dunno what class for them. 10-6 dutchtown. Defense gets another turnover and td punches it in.

For anyone watching, number 8 for dutchtown is being recruited by Nebraska. Announcers missed that one.

The dutchtown secondary is playing really good. They are blitzing Reid a decent bit too.

Reid has to be approaching double digit tackles

My first time seeing Merrit and I am impressed. Not buying 4.5 he looks faster.

Merritt is just as fast in pads, that's the thing about it. Destrehan has a young qb going against a good defense in Dutchtown. Destrehan has 3 d1 prospects in this class and a couple others who could get an offer. Next year's class they have 2 d1 prospects that I know of. 2017 is the class of their qb who is already being recruited by la tech and tulane.

Reid is not that good. He s not aggressive. Decent speed. Not very strong. Doesn't involve himself with tackles. Kirk merit shook him out of his shoes and the stiff armed him to the ground on a reverse for a. 50 yRd TD that was called back for holding. Destrehan showed he's not nearly as good as his brother. He's not LSU material. But lord Kirk Merritt cetainy is. That kid has some jets on him
