A buddy of mine bought a brand new Prime Impact after deer season this year and is already ready to sell it (He does this a lot) . I'm currently bow-less and in the market. I had my intentions set on a Bow Tech, but if this is a better deal then I'm all for it. I just know nothing about this maker and their reputation.

So what say the OB? Should I get the Prime for a good deal or should I pass and look at others?

It's not a good deal if you'd prefer a different bow. you'll buy this one then end up buying you preferred bow later and spend more money in the long run. I also have no idea about this bows reputation. Most guys I know that upgrade yearly usually stay with the same manufacturer. Ask yourself is your friend changing brands?

Have you shot it? Have you shot a Bowtech? That's the only way you can make a good decision. If you are going to invest a good amount of money in a bow you need to shoot every brand you can get your hands on.

Good advice guys, thanks.. I have shot a bow tech but I have not shot the prime yet. I plan to but it doesn't have sights on it. I handed down my old Jennings to my younger brother, just felt like it was time for an upgrade.

Once test fired a new bow without sights. It had a sweet draw curve and was smooth and quiet to shoot so I bought it. Was the worst grouping, most unforgiving bow I ever saw once I put sights on it. Tried for two years and could never get consistent results.

I'm a little bias, but i think they are great bows. Name's not big right now, but the quality of materials use will match all the big names. Draw cycle is smooth with solid backwalls on most of them. The parallel cams is what sold me. No cam lean.

Not your big selling speed bows, but they are lethal in accuracy.
