47% of Americans would either support secession or are undecided on the issue, while a further 53% would be opposed to such a move.

Secession is for losers. You have a moral duty to fix a broken government, not run away and form another one.

I am no advocate for secession, but I do feel for those who ask why people from the states of New York and California should be determining what is best for the people of Alabama and Georgia.

I don't agree. The federal government had no right to make the states stay in a union 150 years ago. All constitutional scholars pretty much agree.
I would be for kicking New York, Massachusetts and the Left Coast out and that would solve all the major problems.
If Texas left the union they could fix their border problem easy.

I was once a member of a union that supported leftism. I resigned. I was told "You have a moral duty to fix the broken union, not run away from it."

Put the power back into the hands of the individual states and few would care about secession. The federal government should really only be in charge of the military and settling disputes between states.
