Can a FBS walk on player transfer with no restrictions?

If a walk on player from say Texas left school and went to Miami can they give him a scholarship and he play right away?

Why not? They aren't under the same restrictions as scholly players.

Original school has the say and technically can prevent player from getting a scholarship on new team. Check the Baker Mayfield saga

I love how people really have no clue about the rule but answer anyways.

With that being said, I have no clue but yes they can.

they can still be blocked from transferring places...see tex tech last year

Depends on the university they are leaving. Look at the Baker Mayfield fudge up when he transferred from Texas Tech to OU.
