Its gotta be something positive for Obama and the Dems... Beckel is saying it is in regards to National Security
So they either foiled a huge plot or they are doing something extraordinary to prevent it (Securing the border)

I don't think there is really anything that Obama can do to gain votes. In fact, I would imagine that most Democrats in tight elections are going to request that Obama stay away, not endorse, and let them run against some of his stupidity.

An "October surprise" that is momentous enough to effect midterm elections would have to be so huge that it would overshadow the elections anyway.
