Nearly all of that was through the air. Just a sidenote

If LSU had some faith in Jennings, Dural, Quinn, Diarse, etc, it would come out slinging it. Sadly, we'll see I-formation single WR most of the night.

Good! Jennings had 239 against Wisconsin. Could he throw for 300 plus Saturday night?

We are going to run the football 65-70% of the time. It's what Miles does. Esp with an inexperienced QB and WRs. And ~30% of those passing yards against Wisc came on one pass.

I think we win, but we aren't chunking the ball all around. You know this.

Fine. As long as they come out in more spread formations and/or throw early when they see 8+ in the box. Make them pay fast then pound away with a lead.

I think it's almost a guarantee. I mean we have Travin Dural for god's sakes who can take it the house at any moment, and we have other very talented WRs along with him.

Against a team that just allowed 440 through the air against UAB? I can't imagine CCC not exploiting that weakness.

Been trying to get this point across the whole day...

Miles does not care what another team did. The scoreboard shows that their plan did not lead to victory. He will stick to his plan, and his plan only, regardless.

Hopefully a bit less conservative playcalling this week.

This, PERIOD! What you saw against Wisc. is what you're going to see against Miss. St. (and everybody else) LSU will rely on the power running game (with a few deep balls mixed in) unless they absolutely have to throw to catch up.

UAB is not a bad team this year. Not great, but not horrible either.

In order to match the Saban record, Miles needs to lose to UAB. This may be as close as he can get.

Just a side note; UAB, even with the 500+ yards they gave up against Miss St, doesn't have a half bad defense. They rank in the 60's in rush and pass yards allowed.

No we won't. We've never had a single game under Miles when we played mostly one WR. You are a mightystupidyat.

I don't think he'll show any more than he has to...if the power game works, he'll pretty much stay with it...unless he has to spread them out and use the read option...he really doesn't like to show any more of the play book than he has to...and that's not a bad plan usually...

If we throw for 300 I feel pretty good about our chances.

They also gave up an 88, 81, 75, and 53 yard pass.
