Les has some big praise for Malone. Anything to it? Rumblings from Geaux247 that he could start at RT for hawkins, who is nursing some kinda injury. anything to it? could be a good switch from hawkins to malone.

quote:

The Geaux247 staff has confirmed through multiple sources that Malone has also taken reps at right tackle behind Hawkins, who has been slowed during practice this week with a minor injury.

"He’s a redshirt freshman, so he is young, but we would not hesitate to play him in games,” Miles said. "He’s earned the right.”

Malone was one of the recipients of the Alvin Roy Fourth Quarter Award for outstanding performance in the LSU off-season program, as well as the Most Improved Award during spring practice.

I think we would see Washington first, IMO.

That's the M.O. When Les praises a young backup player, it's because there is something wrong with the starter.

He praised the whole offensive line before the season started and they look like shite. Shouldn't read to much into it

He left the game vs ULM when his leg was rolled up on.

I was just about to post this. Interesting that he'd get the nod over Washington

yeah that's what I think as well. they're prob just be getting KJ ready in case he's needed there as well. hopefully we're at full strength with everybody though, Pocic and Hawk included.

If ethen pocic can go wouldn't it be him? The way coaches raved over him they said he can play any position on the line.

I only believe what I see on the field during the game. I have learned not to listen much the "coach speak."

Which doesn't excite me because I'm beginning to think he's not a good judge of OL talent, anyway.

He came back in pretty quickly.

Doesn't mean that it isn't still bothering him. It's sometimes easier to play through the pain during a game.

True. It also looked like Washington got nicked on the TD when he replaced Hawkins.
