Why isn't Dak Prescott on LSU ' roster?

Did we not offer or recruit him? Did we just miss on him? What happened?

Looks like we offered in '10. Was recruited by Brick. I don't know the ins and outs of all off the recruits like the touchy fellows on the recruiting board, so I'm not sure how engaged the staff was with the kid.

Word out oh haughton was that lsu was interested but wasn't exactly knocking down the door.....Mett was already here of course.....and DP knew he would play sooner rather than later at State.

We offered. I don't think CLM does the non-sincere offer shite like Saban. To your point, though, I don't remember us going after him hard.

Looking back on it, I think we missed an opportunity with this kid, but AJ and BH will do nicely during their time here.

I don't exactly remember the situation, but for some reason, I seem to remember we wanted him to play another position... Could be wrong though.

We have a "No Dak" policy at LSU.

Well a D-line coach was recruiting him. Not sure how significant that is, though. He's a pretty big boy.

I'm sure the recruiting board guys could give some good info, but they might also give you some flak and tell you to go back to Rant in every other reply. Do a search over there, and then start a thread if you don't see anything. Don't be thin skinned though.

Exactly why I called them the "touchy fellows". If you go there to ask a question or make a comment and you aren't a regular, they'll just get pissy and tell you that you don't know shite about recruiting. If you counter that you've generally been watching a class shape up and are surprised by a new development, they'll ask you what some kid's favorite menu items are at Taco Bell. If you can't answer that, they'll tell you to GTFO. Always great to show up there the week before NSD and start asking dumb questions. They get rustled.

Derek Ponamsky said on 104.5 yesterday that Crowton didn't want him. By the time he was gone, Prescott was committed to MSU and honored his commitment.

I think we just offered too late, and the ship had sailed. Kid honored his commitment. Simple as that.

Yeah.....he MIGHT be good. But, he needs to PROVE it in Tiger Stadium before I start lamenting the "one that got away"

Same reason we missed on Cam Robinson. He knew he would start first year so he went elsewhere.
