You'll see why on Saturday night. Soutern Miss, UAB, and South Alabama are good teams to pad stats against, but Chavis will hold him to season lows in completion percentage, yards, ad TDs.

Word out oh haughton was that lsu was interested but wasn't exactly knocking down the door.....Mett was already here of course.....and DP knew he would play sooner rather than later at State.

it was this....plus it was a late offer as well...Mullen went after him hard from the get go

How is that going for you Dak?

Anyways we did fine with out him all these years and state hasn't suffered too badly for their standards so it is a win win for both LSU and Dak that his is not in p&g.

Did we not offer or recruit him? Did we just miss on him? What happened?

Yes he was recruited and offered. He stated in an interview on the SEC network last night that he was never an LSU fan(Yeah, one of those guys)so their offer meant no more to him than anyone else's.

Seems like we wanted a pure drop-back passer at the time.

Let's look at his stats against teams with any quality at all:

Okie State: 7-17 89 yds 0 TD 1 Int

Auburn: 15-28 213 0 TD 0 Int

LSU: 9-20 106 0 TD 1 Int

USCe: 28-43 235 0 TD 3 Int

A&M: 14-26 149 2 TD 1 Int

Bama No Stats

Arky: No Stats

Ole Miss: 11-20 115 0 TD 0 Int

So his skills would fit in just right at LSU?

Am i doing this right...?

Not picking up on the sarcasm?

I think Dak is a damn good player, but I like who we have at QB now. Our offensive identity is to hit the other team harder than they can hit you and wear them out by the 4th quarter. It almost always works against the MISS State's of the college football world. Sprinkle in a few down field plays in the passing game, and it's a recipe for success.

Dak is a good player and a good fit for State. I'm happy we had Mett and I'm happy we have Jennings and Harris.
