Why do Japanese car manufacturers put alternators on the bottom of the engine?

I think that they alternate between the top and bottom.

water pumps built into the engine and driven by the timing chain upset me more.

Yup. I have to take my RX to the shop this week or next week to get that done. Don't even want to think of how many hours of labor that will be. But its been a great vehicle.

Because the glove box is for gloves.
