Moo state has always been a rent-a-win game for us..... Moo state has to cheat to get one single W over the past 20 years. Dan Mullen is a poor man's Will Muschamp.. What does Moo State do this year .. My best guess is a whole lot of nothing

Fully expect us to win. How we win will determine how the rest of this season will look.

LSU fans forget Toefield fumbled in OT in 2000

They have a good QB but have not been tested by a defense yet.

I really think we blow them out as long as we're not too conservative offensively in the beginning of the game.

They should make a bowl game. Which is really good if you're Mississippi State.

They could have beaten the team last year. It's never a rent-a-win. They're going to raise their level of play big time and with all of this talk about the series history, I really hope the team doesn't overlook them.

Strong against the run and apparently weak against the pass. Will LSU be able to take advantage of that?

The difference in last year's game was Moo State having no answer for Mett to OBJ.

Yeah. I don't know. I always get nervous when we enter SEC play.

+1

No way is it a rent awin as OP stated. Sure we have controlled the series, but there has been a number of games where Miss St was in it till the end. 2009 comes to mind.

Besides 2009 and 2011 no game has really been that close. Granted you never overlook an opponent but mullens is an absolutely harmless coach to go up against

We've won 15 of the past 22 games by 21 or more points.

ETA: not that that's really relevant this year, bc this may be by far the most talented State team we've faced in that time span--but historically we haven't just beat them, we've steam rolled.

The difference in those games is something along the lines of 777 pts for LSU to under 300 for MSU. They're a rent a win.

I live in Mississippi amongst these cowbellers, and I WILL take full advantage of this week to smack talk them. We will beat the shite out of MSU. I watched their game against USA today, and was NOT impressed, not even with Prescott. He will throw INTs Saturday night.

+1. This game will be a measure of the STAFF as much as anything else. The O-line is not right to this point. MSU will throttle an O-line that is not right. Maybe opening up with play pass to loosen the front 7 a bit is the way to go.

If the team comes out sleep walking, it will be 100% poor coaching/motivating. We shall see.

2011 wasn't a close game. LSU was never in any danger. That D made State completely inept.
