there was a big discussion on the MSB the other day after an NFL player tipped like .01% on an $80 bill. I wish more restaurants would do this, TBH, and I think it's a sustainable model.

what says the FDB on this topic?

I wonder what percentage the owner is paying them in "tips". It's a win situation for the owner because he's now probably paying them less than what the servers would have made in tips (would have been 20%, effectively skimming), and now the customers will be encouraged to spend more on the restaurant.

A brilliant business move.

I think this works only in big markets. Can't imagine this working in small town USA.
