The 531 on the bottom was delivered today. Nice little knife, very thin, even more so than the 940's. Just ordered a custom Griptillian for somebody's Christmas gift too and now I think I'll have to have one made for me since I gave my mini-Grip to the TSA a few years ago...

I've been through two in the past year. Both condemned to the ocean (ditch) depths. Damn fine knives, and pricey too. Until duck season, I've resigned myself to carry something much cheaper.

They are but and I'm too spoiled with the Axis to carry anything that doesn't have it or a variation of it like Sog's arc-lock. Trying to rehab an older Cold Steel Recon 1 that seems to have some odd pitting in the track of the blade where the lock bar rides. Disappointing because it was a tank of a knife.

Either the serrated clip point of that one or a serrated tanto version. Both were half priced so I wasn't going to pass it up just on that....

I recently purchased a Mini Barrage after losing my Griptillian.

It is assisted open, is built a bit tougher, and can be custom-made just like the Mini Grips on their website.

Mine is the purple and yellow knife that y'all have seen before with "Geaux Tigers" on one side and "LSU" on the other.

Also went ahead and got the S30V steel for an extra $30. It is surely a damn fine knife. Just hope I don't loose it... (wood has been knocked on)

I don't blame you. Those are fine knives.

I've got a Barrage and a Griptillian saved on the custom site. I'll probably order both...

Spyderco FTMFW

I've owned a regular and a mini-grip. Lost one and broke the other. Spyderco just has a far superior opening system. I also didn't like the plastic handles on the grip. The G10 on my paramilitary is much better.

I also have no idea wtf a tanto blade is for, but people say the same about all of my combo blades

I thought the 940-1 was really light for its size until I got the 531. Think I'm going to order the Adamas clip for it.

The steel in 940-1 is superior. My full size grip and hunt series both have the s30v.

Can't comment on the spyderco. Too ugly to own.

Sounds like the only reasonable solution.

Hammer, did Benchmade replace your knife? I have never been able to put that lifetime warranty to the test.

If u guys that love benchmade dont have one, you need to tryone of the autos. Well worth it. Dont know how the state law is in LA but herein NC we can purchase with our concealed carry license. I have had my 2nd onefor years and even sent it back to have a new personalized blade put on for just $35.

I guess it's for the guys that like a challenge when sharpening their knives.
