I wasn't a big fan of the Killers after this album, but this was a solid one with a ton of really good songs. It's one of the few CDs that when I listen to it, I have to do start to finish.

I'm a big fan of the two murder trilogy songs that were on the albums, Jenny and Midnight Show.

Smile Like You Mean It is a personal favorite, as well.

Definitely one of my favorite albums from 2004. There were a ton of other albums that came out that year, too...Interpol's Antics, Franz Ferdinand's self titled album, Modest Mouse's Good News, Arcade Fire's Funeral and Kanye's College Dropout. Damn that was a big year for music.

Green Day's American Idiot came out as well, along with Loretta Lynn's return cd that Jack White produced. Feels Like Home by Norah Jones as well.

2004 was a great year for music. Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus, Mastodon - Leviathan, and Strapping Young Lad- Alien are all in my top 10 of the 00's list.

I agree with that, actually. It's a personal top 3 for me.

classic

also a classic. I find their current success is based off of inferior (though still good) music. nothing they ever do will top this one

Wasn't YYY's debut this year as well? I'm too lazy to google it

Most of those are debut albums too. I'll add Scissor Sisters to that list.

Ehhhhhh....I wouldn't call a "covers" album, eMotive, and the remix album anything special. They put out the album(s) for the sole purpose of getting out of their contract with Virgin.
