I think Samsung has lost the plot somewhat with respect to the iPhone 6 ads

I saw this ad for the first time during the SF/Chicago Sunday night game - LINK
Why are they giving free advertising for Apple? Many people may not have known about a larger iPhone... until this ad... This is just begging for people that stuck with Samsung/Android till now only for larger screens to go back or try the new iPhone 6. Samsung probably should be emphasizing their own strengths than a competitor's perceived weaknesses.

I find it's awfully rich that they of all people would insinuate Apple of copying them.
Especially given how they overstated how hard Apple "pimped" the screen as the next big thing....when really they didn't.

Ever since the new software came out, my phone crashes constantly and the battery life has decreased significantly.
My phone crashed 5 times today.
Samsung can suck it. I will never own another Samsung.

I really wanted to start a thread similar to this today, but didn't know how to go about it.
Why do Samsung and Microsoft keep using this marketing strategy that tries to shoot down apple or trying to show that their products are more ahead of the curve. It just looks really bad IMO.

That Samsung ad was cringeworthy. Absolutely awful.
It just went on and on..

What do you expect from a company that makes products based on rumors of what products others are making.

Agreed.
I usually enjoy their digs at Apple (I thought the iphone launch day ad was gold...because I'm that guy
This one seems kind of desparate. And as others have said...is Samsung really taking jabs at someone for imitating?

It is amusing that samsungs tag line is "the next big thing is already here" and apples new line is "bigger than big"

Those ads are terrible. Thanks for reading out tweets from random people in your ad, that wasn't stupid at all.

They must be sweating bullets over the 6+.

1. i'm actually shocked that people still watch commercials. I had to go look this one up on the Internet.
2. this post has a point, but so does Samsung.
3. the ad should've been a flashback to the waiting in line for a new iPhone ad they did years back. But, have the Apple fans making fun of how big the Galaxy Note was back then.

just seems like they're making ads for droid fan boys to chuckle at instead of trying to sell others on their phones

meh...i don't really care. i won't be owning an iPhone or a Samsung phone anytime soon. I owned the first Galaxy S for AT&T, the Galaxy S3, and the Note 2.
Now that I've switched over to a Moto X, I don't know that I could go back to a Samsung phone. I have an irrational hatred for the physical button on both Samsung's and iPhones. The new Moto X, whatever new Nexus phone, or maybe the LG G3 if I wanted to go larger.
I just don't think that ads are going to hurt Samsung sales. They are going to suffer because they've released the same phone in varying sizes and textures for the last 3 years. And, they won't suffer too much because they are going to spend more money than any other Android phone manufacturer on advertising.

It's a shame that Samsung is the most publicly prominent Android maker.

the idea that samsung could compete with apple on software is a complete joke.
nice try but samsung is nothing without android and their attempts at being an 'alternative to iOS' with all the shite they install has reached a point where its so bad its laughable.
this commercial seems mean, forced, awkward, desperate and i honestly can't imagine someone approving this for airing.
eta samsung should just focus on hardware and let the phones ship with vanilla android without all the crippleware.

Samsung really doesn't like it's arrangement with Google. It would be hilarious how fast they would fall if they abandoned Android.
The iphone launch commercials were great, they were needed when they were fighting to get the masses to see how far Android has come... They aren't there anymore, people fully recognize how developed Android is, so these type of commercials just make them seem like petty asshats.

edit: It may end up not being crippled, but with Samsung involved I don't see how it could end up being anything else.
