The single greatest problem facing white concert-going America today ?

Where do we put our hands during a concert?
All my Summer concerts left me unsure of proper concert hand etiquette.
At the Alter Bridge concert I did the whole thing but felt self-conscious and clichéd.
At the Jack White concert I put them in my pockets or crossed my arms in that pseudo-hipster-forced- nonchalant pose and was mortally afraid Jack would shame me somehow.
At the Steely Dan concert I kind of tried to play the air drums, but Fagen stared me down.
The Frampton concert was a total disaster as I attempted to kind of do that concert-groove thing all the old people with my hands until my son fled in horror.
Help an awkward brother out.

Arm around a girl and a beer in the other hand?

In addition to that, due to the fact that I am NOT a square from Delaware; AND can usually be found wearing clean underwear, I also scream "YEAH!!!!!!!"

Hands in pockets, eyes on the ground. Look up if someone calls your name, otherwise stare at your sneakers. And have fun.

I do this myself - I do not whites are precluded from doing this, although it is highly discouraged.

What ever happened to smoking weed and kind of sitting there nodding your head to the beat of the music? Most any whitey can do that I'm betting.

It's harder than it sounds, lots can go wrong. Last time I tried this maneuver casualties were in the double digits.

Just take out your cell phone to post the whole show to social media. Everyone around you will love it, trust me.

I feel like a fricking dork when I do anything with my hands in the air. Unless I'm really drunk, which is possible
I mostly just have a beer in one hand and chain smoke so I have something to do with my other hand

Gene Simmons shamed a buddy of mine at a Kiss show in the 90s for this very thing. Gene pointed at him and mocked him by crossing his arms. Everybody in our section started giving my friend shite.
