Any tips on cooking rock shrimp?

Came across this gallon of rock shrimp while offshore yesterday.
any suggestions would be helpful

This won't be that helpful since I've never cooked them before but you got me curious.
Many say the texture is similar to lobster which is probably why many recipes are done tempura style. Looks like you can simply saute as well. Another popular suggestion is split and broiled. That seems interesting.

So I decided to put some butter in a hot hot pot and added the shrimp at the same time. Poured a bit of Zatarian's crab boil in there along with a heaping spoon of miced garlic. Stirred and covered till they had that good color.
They came out with an excellent taste but a little had to peel. Not bad for going in blind

Cool. I bet if you had split them a little before cooking they would have been easier to eat.

They taste like a sweeter shrimp. Similar to a spiney lobster

I get rock shrimp from my Uncle often. I boil them like I would crawfish.

We weren't going after them but I've heard that some people have had some luck around Venice
