A friend of mine just found out her 16 year old daughter is having sex

She didn't seem too upset about it but she did say that she is taking her to the Doctor to have her put on birth control. She said that she is 40 and not ready to be a grandmother yet.
I have a daughter and hearing stories like this scare the hell out of me.

Just make sure your daughter is educated about the dangers of sex and the consequences. Teenagers are going to have sex. Not all of them, but a good many.

i mean homecoming is coming up, if it hasn't already happened. most juniors at HC will be 16
i bet many of us either had sex by our junior years or knew many people who had. this isn't some shocking revelation

Maybe, but I get his point... It's hard to be analytical when you remember rocking your own child to sleep. Our time here moves pretty fast whether we want it to or not...
