Wisconsin Wins Bid to Enforce Voter ID Rule in November

The U.S. Court of Appeals in Chicago said the state would likely win its challenge to an April decision by a lower-court judge in Milwaukee who had blocked the law. The earlier ruling found that the law places an unfair burden on people who are unable to pay for the documents needed to obtain a government-issued ID.
Opponents of the Wisconsin law and others like it say they are meant to dissuade poor and minority voters who are likely to vote for Democrats from going to the polls. In Texas, a trial over that state’s voter ID law is under way in Corpus Christi.

I just don't understand the added burden this puts on the poor and minorities. IDs are free and people have to go to do inconvenient tasks all the time.

Dems think that minorities are too stupid, lazy and ignorant to be able to figure out the simple, simple, simple process of obtaining a state-issued I.D. You know, the same state-issued I.D. they need to get all the government benefits the Dems want to give them because the Dems think that they are too stupid, lazy and ignorant to make it on their own.

An ID stops fraud by Democrats. I personally saw a Union leader and a Teachers Association leader go get the white vans of Headstart and go to a sweet potato farm and pickup 40 Mexicans to go vote for Obama. They could not speak English and lived in Mexico. I talked to them. The same people went to my mothers nursing home and took 50 pre-voted absentee ballots for Obama to the lounge/kitchen area to get the ballots signed by senior citizens that didn't know what they were doing. Pizza was offered while they signed a paper to vote. My mother is a Dem. but objected to the fraud. No ID used, just a signature.
