I just finished the final episode. At the start of the season I couldn't get into it, and eventually stopped watching a couple episodes in. However, I just finished the series on Netflix and I thought they did as good of a job wrapping up the series as they could have. The last few episodes were solid and did a great job tying everything together.

Hank almost became a parody of himself the last few seasons. I really liked the show for a long time and thought they wrapped it up as much as possible. All the characters are far too damaged to live happily ever after in the long run, but they still give you hope.

This. Coupled with his newly discovered mentally deficient son and Charlie's ridiculous problems made for a difficult show to watch at the end.

I stopped watching it during the black season. Too unrealistic and silly. Plus when Californication first started airing, it filled a huge void of witty R-rated series. Now there's a dozen of them that are equally well-done and most are smarter and more realistic.

I watch the show on and off. I never figured out how this guy can get into tons of fights and never go to jail.

Wish the daughter was in it more the final season.

It was a fitting end to the series I guess. Better than nothing.

I agree. I really didn't like the start. The new family thing was reaching for me. It grew on me though, starting with the flashback episode towards the end

It went down hill when Ashby died.

Hated the long lost son storyline. Mostly because the kid was an enormous tool.

Hank Moody will always be one of my favorite characters ever, but I wish they had gone a different direction to close it out instead of basing a lot of it around Hank's illegitimate child.

Yeah that was the biggest thing that made me give up on the series until I got bored earlier this week. Levon was such a douche it made me cringe at times

Pretty much all this. That dumb fricking kid nearly made the show unwatchable. But I had to watch the rest since I had already watched all the previous seasons. Overall, still a fun show which had some great seasons.
