How does a big-5 conference team end up playing a road game at a mid-major?
The clear early season leader is the Baylor at Buffalo debacle that is currently on TV.
Other games this year that have to make you wonder how sober the AD was when he signed the contract:
Missouri at Toledo
Wake Forest at ULM
Mississippi State at S. Alabama

Baylor went to buffalo back in 2007 or 08 I think. It's possible that this game has been scheduled for a while.

Not a true road game, but this one stands out to me: Miami had their 34-game winning streak broken by Ohio State in the national championship game, and the next game they played was in Shreveport against Louisiana Tech to open the 2003 season.
