I'm sure things will normalize some now that upgrades are over

I'm pretty sure I'm putting this game in the shelf for good, seasons is usually my favorite thing, but in this one it's just maddening... I'm convinced this game has some sort of cap on how high I can go because I've been stuck in limbo between division 4 and 3 for 3 months, every time I get promoted to 3 my players go stupid and my passing percentage drops 20-30 points (I literally just had a 43% passing game, I mean you have to try to be that bad)

Anyone else find that it's pretty easy, if you begin with a top club, to assemble a monster team by season 3 or 4?

I began with Arsenal and midway through season 3, I have Sanchez(90) and Welbeck(84) up top, Shaqiri(84) and Bale(92) on the wings, Ozil(87) in the middle, Malanda(80, RIP) and Pogba(88) holding down the CDMs, Kos(83), Gibbs(81) and Di Sciglio(82) in the back with Leno(83) in goal. The January window just closed and I signed Hazard(89), Reus(88), and Gotze(89) all on frees . So include those for next season. (Free transfers for big players are faaaaaaar too easy)

I have Campbell(82), Sterling(80), Musa(81), Juan Jesus(81), N'Koulou(81), Grenier(80), Wilshere(83), Ramsey(85) as the first few off the bench.

I mean, I feel it is far too easy to assemble an incredible team, and I even have the transfer fee return on strict so I don't receive large sums for transfers.

Anyone else experience this? I think I'm soon going to start with a lowly team next and work my way up (either through promotion or switching to other teams when offers appear).

I found that the be the case in prior seasons. I have Tottenham unbeaten in EPL with Champions League titles in 2 of 3 years after just 3 or 4 seasons.

Since then, I've strayed away from starting with top-tier clubs and opted for lower leagues. I started with Portsmouth, got them 2 promotions and then got canned in my 3rd year as we were in the relegation zone by the winter transfer window. I jumped to Hamburger in the Bundesliga and got us into the UCL after about my 3rd season. We fell off form a bit the next season and dropped back into the Europa league this year. I'm sitting on about 4 or 5 really young, very talented players that could probably fetch me damn near 200 million in transfer fees if I were to go with a fire sale. I may just have to do that in the offseason if i'm still around.

Try playing with a shittier team with a smaller budget. Also, you got pretty lucky signing that group on frees. I never have that kind of luck, but then again I started with Leicester.

Yeah, I think I'm going to do that here soon. I still want to play the Arsenal career to see what it's like to have all of those incredible players on the field. May have to run a 2-1-7 (yes, that's right; 7 attackers ).

You have any suggestions on a good lower team to start with? I'm torn between starting with an English club and building them up through the ranks or starting with a Swiss team or something and doing well enough to garner offers from bigger clubs and working my way up that route.

I've tried both routes...although not in FIFA 15. I took an Austrian Bundesliga team to the UCL title and never even got an offer to coach another club....I had to apply for one and ended up with a Ligue 2 job. That was the best thing available for me. But that was FIFA 14. In FIFA 15, I was canned from Portsmouth but there were a number of open positions in the summer and I had my pick from a few pretty good clubs.

I see. So it appears I could go either route and it would be fun. I think I'll try playing in some obscure league and see what happens. Thanks for the info!

It will definitely test your ability to scout for some deep gems and work with practically no budget. At those lower ends, you are basically forced to sell anyone that's in form for big money....and for these clubs, 1-2 million is big money.

Im in my fourth season with Milan and im just now getting a solid champions league contender, and serie A is winnable now because juve is in a downturn.

Just got isco on a free, but top players have been difficult to sign. Should change once i win a champs league, but ive had to rely on thrift. Pisses me off when i end the season with over 50 mil, and then get 20 mil to start the season.

Yeah, I pretty much spend as much as possible in the January window just because I know it's not going to carry over. Kind of odd.

Ive also asked for 5-10 mil extra from the board each window and have been turned down every damn time. Milan be stingy. Im guessing its because they expect me to win it all every year, so ive got no leverage. Lame.

The main thing that has always bugged me about Fifa, is that in career mode, your pro is never brought on as a substitute. You either start the match or you're left out. I was hoping at some point they would address this, but I've never heard them mention any plans to. It's just not realistic when your young pro signs with a top team and is in the top 11 right away.

Usually if you start off with a big time club they send you out on loan for the first season. But yeah, I hate that you can't come on as a substitute. I've always loved the Be a Pro modes but they barebone it on Fifa. The best one was on Madden like 07 and NHL 14. You could do signings, answer media questions and be on the cover of the respective game.

I'll agree with that to an extent. I usually never sign players that actually exist other than maybe 2-3 of them. I get more joy out of building a team from the youth squad and never having players older than 30 (other than a GK). It makes it to where I can't really ever sim matches because I'll lose with my 65-75 youth scouted player in the starting 11.

I get a lot of fun out of it, but that's just me.

My current MM is with Real Madrid and Ronaldo got up to a 96 overall and then refused to sign an extension in my second year and ended up being a FA that never got picked up. What a waste.

Just finished my first season with Kaiserslautern. Doing what I can to lead the team with youth. This upcoming season playing in the Bundesliga will be rough though

For those who care, I just went to edit a player and the kit fit options have a new addition to the "normal" and "tight". There's now a "Team Default" which im assuning will mean that if a player from say Chelsea goes to Arsenal, who is sponsored by Puma, will automatically switch to a tight fitting kit.

Nice addition I suppose.

I know a lot of y'all don't play FUT, but it's become unbearable. Everybody uses fricking Roma's front line of Gervinho, Doumbia, and Ibarbo. The pace was bad before, but the sweat is at an all time high now. I'm officialy done with FIFA until those three die. frick Roma with an AIDS dick.

I've been a longtime FIFA player and I always claim my free gold packs from pre-ordering, but I've never gotten into the FUT. Just don't find it fun at all.
