We are hearing from our sources at @wfnz that the #Panthers Organization is discussing cutting Greg Hardy possible as soon as 4pm today.

Pretty ridiculous if true. I've followed the story, and I really do not think he is guilty.
He has yet to be found guilty by a jury of his peers.

Hey, Smith and TD....can we look over this character issue and sign Hardy the second he becomes a FA.
We have more than enough cap room for this guy.

quote:No his peers found him guilty already actually. He is appealing though
He has yet to be found guilty by a jury of his peers.
ETA: Or a judge found him guilty. But either way he did lose his case and did get charged and sentenced already.

I may not have followed it as closely as you but he's guilty in my eyes

Whether he's guilty or not, Greg Hardy is a head case.

Since there's no video of Hardy beating his s/o, how long will he be unemployed? I give it til Monday

The odd thing is that Hardy has been charged and found guilty of a worse crime then Ray Rice

I doubt this is true.
They will continue to play him until the legal process plays out.

That must've been a hell of a frame job by the chick and the witnesses to her beating.

if they wanted to appear tough and take a stand they would've cut him sooner...right now they just look like PR bozos...good luck with that next labor deal.

Actually he is right; it was a judge who found him guilty and now he is entitled to a jury trial.
The pathetic thing about this particular situation is that he called 911 while he (and I think a friend of his) was holding her down to report that he was being attacked by crazy woman, so this wasn't some unpremeditated loss of control; he thought about it.
There are still predatory women who try to cause athletes to lose their tempers and both the NCAA and NFL and NBA etc provide players with training on how to spot and avoid those women, but this doesn't appear to be what happened here.
