How many Ws does Michigan need for Brady Hoke to keep his job?

As an LSU fan I have to admit that I'm a little worried that Michigan will implode, Brady Hoke will get fired and Michigan will come for Cam.
Do you think 8 wins is enough for Hoke to keep his job?

Michigan ain't going for Cam, he has proven to be a very bad HC.

Its not a win loss thing. If they can get either Harbaugh the will can him, if not, he gets another year.

I hope you're right and Harbaugh accepts.

He gone then.
Michigan won't win 10 games this year.

It really depends on who Michigan thinks they can get to replace Hoke if he does OK, which is somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2 on the regular season.
10-2 would mean wins over Michigan State and/or Ohio State, their big rivals, which could help him out.
I think they keep him barring a complete and total meltdown, though, because I don't see either Harbaugh taking the job, I don't see Les taking a third run at Michigan because I figure they'll lowball him again, and I don't see a whole lot of other "Michigan Man" kinds of candidates out there for them to choose from.

One of the dumbest things in college sports. This line of thinking will continue to hold them down.

Would be Les' second run at it.
He wont be a candidate as long as Brandon is the AD.

Do you think it means someone who has a Michigan connection? Because it doesnt.

Interesting. Can you elaborate on Brandon/Miles relationship, or lack of? Also, has Barandon given any indication of what he thinks about Cam?

Someone who wants to be at Michigan. It was used to say that Bill Frieder didnt want to be at Michigan, so Bo hired someone who did. Steve Fischer. Frieder has 2 degrees from Michigan. Cant have much more connection than that.

There were two camps after Bo retired. The Moeller/Lloyd group and the Bill McCartney group. Brandon is a Moeller/Lloyd guy, Les is a McCartney guy.
I have no clue what Brandon thinks of Cam, but I would assume they are fine because Cam worked for Moeller.
I remember his name being bounced around when they hired RichRod, but that was under a different AD.

Now that you mention it I do vaguely recall Lloyd being against a Miles hire.
When Miles writes his book he needs to include a chapter dedicated to these relationships.

He last coached at Michigan 25 years ago, I'd say Frieder is an anomaly. It's a safe bet that anyone Michigan hires would consider it a destination job.
