“We’ve had 10 to 12 guys every single day working out here, trying to get better, trying to get acclimated to the new system, trying to get to know each other better,” Fredette said. “It’s only going to benefit us when we start practice at the end of the month. We’re really excited to be here and hit the ground running.”

Fredette, Tyreke Evans, Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday, along with assistant coach Randy Ayers, all spoke to local media members Thursday, providing a glimpse into what players have been working on in recent weeks. Young players including but not limited to Darius Miller, Jeff Withey, Russ Smith, Patric Young and Alexis Ajinca also worked out Thursday in the team’s year-old practice facility.

“I think they’re motivated this year,” Ayers said of the high participation rate at voluntary workouts. “It’s certainly good to have our veterans back (from season-ending injury last season), Jrue Holiday and Ryan Anderson, their presence. Tyreke Evans has been in all summer, rehabbing and working on his shot with (assistant coach) Fred Vinson. It’s been a good three weeks. Some of our young guys have been in for the last month, and it’s been a good working time for all of us.”

...“I think every one of those guys (who were injured last season) would say that they’re excited to get back, excited to be healthy, enjoying the team and starting workouts out,” Anderson said. “We have guys here that don’t need to be here. But they’re here because they want to be better and they want to improve, and continue to develop and be around the guys.”

All indications are that Gordon has been attending. We have a 13 man roster and 2 are in Spain. 11 is right between 10 and 12.

Just because Gordon didn't speak to media doesn't mean he isn't there.

true but the $15 mil dollar man should be the "face" of the franchise which means talk to the media, be seen, and vocal

Not really. Maybe he did and didn't get quoted.

Disagree - he's a veteran now and still puts his foot in his mouth fairly often. Even when he tries to say something positive it comes across as insincere and wishy washy. Here's hoping that he'll just keep his mouth shut and stay healthy enough to trade for an expiring ASAP.

We've seen reports on him at a few tournaments around the country, he may be working out elsewhere this summer.

Yeah he was on the bb report a week or two ago and basically said he spent his summer working out in Florida and, I believe, California with a trainer.

For the first time in six months after requiring surgery and having an extended rehabilitation schedule, he was finally cleared for contact work against his teammates this week for volunteer offseason drills.

And it couldn’t had come soon enough for Holiday with the Pelicans' training camp set to open Sept. 30.

''Getting out playing has been a joy,’’ Holiday said after Thursday’s workout. ''I’ve been running and jumping and stuff, but getting my rhythm back on the court is definitely a big thing right now for me.''

...Like Holiday, Gordon has also been cleared for contact work, while Anderson is expected to be evaluated next week before he is cleared by the team -- although his doctors cleared him.

Don't freak out but:

But Holiday said there have some instances when he has changed directions too quickly during some of the scrimmage work and experienced some discomfort. But he blames it on adjusting to getting back to full-scaled work, nothing to be overly concerned about.

''I just started playing, so there are certain moves I might feel feel it,’’ Holiday said. ''I think that’s because I haven’t done those moves.’’

I researched stress fractures when he got injured, and it's the type of injury that doctors don't clear you to do much of anything until you're 100%, so this is probably nothing. More on his rehab at the link.
