Whats that mean? I know what PMA and NFC are, but what does combining them do?

The chip just replaces the NFC chip on the back of the rear cover. Its a PMA/NFC combo chip. That's all. Justs adds wireless charging while retaining NFC.

Cool. I love the PMA wireless charging on my GS4 via an incipio back replacement, and I was worried that my next phone might not have that option. Glad to hear it is being made available for other phones.

Well, ATT is really trying to make me return this phone with the whole locked boot loader and PMA wireless tech. Qi charging is widely used and has tons of products on the market but ATT wants to sell you proprietary products for profit. The T-Mobile variant can be SIM unlocked and utilizes Qi wireless tech.

Yeah, whatever my next phone will be, it will definitely have an unlockable bootloader.

The T-Mobile variant (851) has an unlocked boot loader, Qi wireless charging, and can be Sim unlocked to use on ATT.
