Need help finding deleted info

Accidentally placed Quick Books with buisiness info in the trash can on a Mac. When we pulled it back out of the trash, the app was there but completely empty of all the prior data. Does anyone know how to find the old data, or are we completely fricked? Please help

Recuva. It pulls up EVERYTHING. Be careful though...it will definitely pull up old porn
