The United States Congress has inserted itself in the Ray Rice scandal ... the House Judiciary Committee has just fired off a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell ... questioning his handling of the case. The letter -- signed by 12 members of the Committee and obtained by TMZ Sports -- notes that Goodell has said he had requested the video but never got it. But the Committee is skeptical, writing, "To our knowledge the public has not been informed as to specifically how and in what context the request was made, and specifically how relevant law enforcement responded."

What makes them think anybody is just waiting to hear what they have to say about this?

What makes them think it's their position to send a letter, as if it's their business?

No more than a month ago when Harry Reid & 48 other senators wrote a letter about the Redskins changing their name.

Because politicians have a wildly exaggerated view of themselves.

I despise Goodel who has turned pro football into sissy football.

He should have never got into the business of handing down rulings on civil or criminal matters. That is the court sysytems job.

The woman ran up into his face and he decked her.

What would be the prevailing thought if A MAN ran up at Ray's face and Ray hit him the same way ? SELF DEFENSE ? MAYBE ? Women want equal rights, then want to cry about a drunk woman getting decked because she ran up in someones face.

Maybe he was drinking too, thats why I don't drink. But she is not blameless, anytime you run at someone you are subject to a reaction.

If I ran up to your face but never made contact and you hit me, you would be guilty of a crime. I would not.

So Boehner sits on his arse for years but he's ready to tackle this. No wonder their numbers are historically low.

This is why Congress has the lowest approval rating of all time. The debt and spending is ooc. Turmoil around the world. Have not passed a budget in 5 years. They don't know anything about the illegal immigrant children being shipped around the country. We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it.

Yet they want to get involved with a domestic dispute between an NFL player and his wife.

I would think that because Congress is the only reason the NFL is allowed to exist in its current form, they have a lot of say in what happens in the NFL.

We had an American beheaded and the tape shown to the public. I don't remember Congress, the president, or the media in general being as outraged as they are about the Ray Rice tape.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Rice should have done jail time for what he did; but how can all these politicians get so upset with the Rice tape after what we witnessed in the Middle East?

What part of the Bible do you rely on to base your belief that if a woman gets in a man's face, he has every right to punch her in the face, knocking her out?

How often have you punched women in the face?
