If she can afford a $2.5 million home in D.C., why can't she afford one in Louisiana?

Senator Landrieu lives in a 5,247-sq-ft D.C. home valued at $2.5 million

I am sure you have read articles about it, but if you want PROOF the link above shows the primary sources.

Does she really pay her parents rent for the basement?

She's a Senator and a hereditary member of the political class - surely you don't expect her to live in a hovel?

She doesn't. She had to use her mother's home address to register to vote in LA.

The value of her mother's home is $297K according to property records.

I wonder if her parents declare the income they earn off renting the basement to Mary. If not an audit may be in order.

IRS has no time to audit unreported income. It's too busy auditing Breitbart.

It wouldn't be a problem if she had a home in the state.... Clearly it's not that she can't AFFORD it.

No fan of Ms.Piggy... but...

Why should I be judging her by the price of her home?

Her husband is a successful real estate broker if I'm not mistaken. Funny you didn't have any problems with a vulture capitalist like Romney who has five multi-million dollar homes with elevators for his cars.

Romney didn't earn his money from sucking off the taxpayer's teat or by accepting kickbacks from lobbyists for his vote.
