Spear Chunkers

That's pretty hardcore. But I guess whatever it takes to eat. They are some spear throwing mofos. And that hippo is one tough SOB. And it has got to take brass balls to run up next to a heard of water buffalo with just a spear.

Just dont try to deer hunt with a spear in LA. It is illegal. A person I know did so, actually killed a nice 8 pt buck, posted pictures in the paper with the deer and spear, and promptly was visited by LWDF and issued a citation.

And yes , of course it was Avolelles Parish!

I reckon everybody has to eat and death isn't always pretty or humane. Some of that was tough to watch...

It took EVERYONE in town to stab that hippo to death.
So much for one spear, one kill.

The elephant was kind of a badass, ripping spears out with its trunk...until it died.

How the hell do they get so many people so close to those big gazelle type creatures in the middle of the open?

That seems so dangerous, not just the wild game, but those assholes throwing spears from the other side of the animal.

I wonder how many people get unintentionally stuck doing that.

You would think that it would be more economical for the entire village to put all of its resources together to purchase one rifle. One rifle would make life so much easier for an entire village.

I understand that, it's hunting for food and not for sport, but that was hard to watch.

I was waiting for a coca-cola bottle to plop down from the sky and bonk one on the head

I don't know, doesn't really bother me. I was pretty much in awe that they are able to do it at all. That's a lot of skill, to be able to hunt down an animal and take it with a spear. It's not as quick as a rifle, but that's how it has been done for thousands of years.

Yes it was. I hate to see animals suffer.
